A raise never lowers your net pay
Since 2023 withholding uses a marginal rate with a deduction. Going from €1,500 to €1,550 gross raises net pay from 1 166,83 € to 1 199,28 €: you keep part of every euro, with none of the jumps of the old tables.
Children lower withholding
- On €1,500 with no children, 168,17 € a month is withheld.
- With 1 dependant (single, Table II): 133,88 €.
- With 2 dependants: 99,59 €.
