€600 per dependant. Plus €126 for each dependant aged 3 or under, or €300 for each 2nd-or-later dependant aged up to 6 (the two extras can't be combined).

How does IRS Jovem work in 2026?+

Up to age 35, in your first 10 years of income: 100% exempt in year 1, 75% in years 2–4, 50% in years 5–7 and 25% in years 8–10, up to 29 542,15 € a year (55 × IAS).

Is joint filing worth it?+

Usually when one partner earns much more, because income is split in two before the brackets apply. Try both: the Tax Authority's pre-assessment shows the better one.
